When I first started this blog, I told you my emotions were running amok, and they still are.
Now that hockey season is winding down as well as Trevor’s college years, what's next? Saturday is senior night at RMU, and the last "official" game of the season. Alas, this also will be my final blog.
It is amazing to me how time flies. I can't believe Trevor will be graduating. This year has been amazing; the Colonials are having a terrific season. Their program has matured, and so has my son. I have never seen Trevor so focused both on academics and hockey.
I think the realization that his college years are winding down has finally hit him. It has hit us, too: What will we do with all of this new-found extra time?
I could not be more proud of Trevor. Whether he chooses to continue with hockey or embark on his new career, I know the hard work, commitment and dedication he has learned from this sport, as well as the fine education he has received from Robert Morris University, will ensure his success in his future endeavors.
If I may part with a little advice ... it really does go by before you know it, so don't sweat the small stuff, take in every precious moment, and most important, enjoy the ride!
