The Hershey Kiss specialty jerseys that the Hershey Bears wore during Sunday’s American Hockey League game raised more than $30,000 in a post-game auction.
A portion of the proceeds will go to charity.
With their fifth jersey auction, the Bears have raised more than $208,000 this season. The previous specialty jerseys and amounts raised: 10 years at Giant Center, $28,650; breast cancer awareness, $28,950; Washington Capitals tribute, $34,350; New Year’s Eve, $28,925; Outdoor Classic, $57,650.
The Bears will wear – and auction – St. Patrick’s Day jerseys on March 17.
