The Hershey Jr. Bears posted back-to-back shutout wins Sunday to win the 53rd Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament for the third time in four years.
The team outscored its opponents 29-2 in winning seven tournament games, culminating with the victories Sunday at the Colisee Pepsi in Quebec City. Hershey competed inthe Class AA Bolduc division.
The Hershey Quebec team also won the tournament in 2009 and 2010 and was a finalist in 2011.
Some 2,300 players ages 11 and 12, representing 16 countries, compete in the 11-day tournament. More than 600 participants, including Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Mark Howe, have gone on to play in the National Hockey League.
